What is Anxiety?
When we perceive something to be a problem or threat, our body responds by releasing chemicals such as adrenaline which enable us to react to the situation. This is useful when faced with an actual threat or danger and a certain amount of anxiety is natural; it helps us to stay focused whilst alerting us to things that need attention. However, if we experience too much anxiety or worry on a regular basis, it can start to have a negative impact on life.

Therapy for Anxiety
The most effective therapy for you depends on your individual situation. Many people have found Hypnotherapy helpful for addressing anxiety and panic attacks, by helping you to relax, increase your confidence and learn new ways of dealing with anxiety inducing situations. Talking Therapy or Counselling can be helpful where you may have been experiencing anxiety for some time or where there are issues from the past which may be causing problems in the present.
Your First Session
At your first session, either at the clinic or online, we will talk about your situation in more detail, including your past experiences and goals, along with your role in the therapy process. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and then we will move on to the therapy part of your session which may involve a combination of therapies such as Hypnotherapy, CBT and NLP combined with other talking therapies as appropriate.
